My oldest brother died of an overdose at the age of 53. It was completely unexpected. He had recently gone through a very difficult period that left him finically and emotionally bankrupt. Still, he always managed to hide his pain behind an upbeat demeanor and a bit of sarcasm. He was not known to be a user. In fact, he was a highly regarded psychologist and father of three. This video is an elegy, but it is also a comment on the ways in which depression can be hidden in plain sight. It is a testimony on the epidemic of drug use that plagues our country, unjustly taking so many beautiful lives away forever.
